Growing up, my household never put a lot of emphasis on gift giving, and being from the island of Jamaica, as children we were never led to believe that if we wrote a list to some dude named Santa we would get everything that our heart desires.

The year we decided a family vacation was the best gift ever, so will be heading off to Jamaica in January to stay at Scotch on the Rocks in Ocho Rios.

For us at Highbrow Hippie, the party season officially kicked off a week after Thanksgiving at the home of Kelly Wearstler, where she graciously hosted Winter Wonderful to benefit the Children’s Action Network (CAN).

The most prestigious art show in the Americas, Basel showcases the work of more than 2,000 artists of the 20th and 21st centuries from over 260 leading galleries in the world.

Organic foods, natural fibers for my clothing, home remedies for colds, cleaning products, the state of my hair….So it only makes sense that when it comes to beauty I am a fan of all things natural things as well.
