If you are anything like me you spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to make sure you are doing all the things - getting enough sleep, getting enough protein, getting enough water, and getting enough steps. Sometimes if feels as though I am spending my life optimizing my life instead of living it, but that's another post....
Right now my focus is making sure I am alkalizing myself in the AM (sayonara morning café) AND getting protein - so my routine is shifting. When the weather was cooler, it was bone broth all the way or lemon water with hot water, but now that I have SO MANY GODDAMN SUPPLEMENTS to take, I find it's easier to dump everything into one smoothie and call it a day. I hate sweet smoothies and prefer something bright so this has been on repeat. This is my loose recipe - adjust as needed - I am a freewheeling chef.
- 3/4 cup frozen pineapple
- 2 handfuls of spinach, kale or whatever greens I have
- 1 thumb sized piece of ginger
- 2 tbs of creatine
- scoop of collagen ( I like this one)
- 1/2 lime juiced
- 2 cups of organic coconut water
- 1 tbs of sea moss
